ZONARE MEDICAL SYSTEMS TO PRESENT AT UPCOMING A.G. EDWARDS EMERGING GROWTH CONFERENCE IN NEW YORK
Company to Discuss Growth of World’s First Convertible Ultrasound™ Platform
Mountain View, Calif. – September 19, 2006 – ZONARE Medical Systems, a developer of next generation ultrasound, announced today that the company will present at the A.G. Edwards 2006 Emerging Growth Conference at the New York Palace Hotel in New York City on Wednesday, September 20, 2006, at 9:30 a.m. EDT. Donald Southard, president and CEO of ZONARE, will discuss the growth of the company’s revolutionary Zone Sonography™ technology and world’s first Convertible Ultrasound™ platform.
“Since the first installation of ZONARE’s z.one ultrasound system in spring of 2005, we installed more than 300 systems in approximately a 15-month time span,” said Southard. “In fact, within the first six months of 2006, we more than doubled installations in the U.S. alone, up from the one-hundredth z.one system reported last December. Yet, Zone Sonography technology is still in its infancy. To date, we have introduced a number of upgrades and believe this revolutionary new technology will continue to evolve rapidly in the years to come.”
The compact ultrasound market is the fastest growing segment in ultrasound, growing at approximately 20-25 percent per year.
