Ultrasound Validation Specialist
Description
Founded in 1999, ZONARE Medical Systems, Inc. is an exciting medical device company. ZONARE has developed a high quality premium ultrasound unit for several medical applications based on ZONARE's proprietary technology, "ZONE" Sonography.
Responsibilities
- The Ultrasound Validation Specialist will report to the Director of Regulatory/Quality
- Perform final QC of ultrasound system prior to shipment to customer
- Perform QA on software and hardware during development
- Write and update procedures and test protocols
- Audit manufacturing processes to ISO 13485 and FDA QSR standards
- Report, verify and validate bugs through the defect data base – monitor trends from those defects
- Perform failure analysis of defects, including vendor data
- Will possess some degree of technical competence Ability to interact with the system using various interfaces to collect information used to diagnose and correct issues
- Travel into the field as necessary to assist Service with resolving quality issues
RequiredSkills
- Solid working knowledge of software and hardware principles
- MUST have experience in ultrasound or medical imaging - a sonographer is a huge plus
- Knowledge of IEC standards for medical electrical equipment
- Be able to work in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 5 plus years experience in ultrasound and/or medical image Quality department
- Bachelors degree preferred
