Manufacturing Operations / Engineering Manager
Description
- Plan manufacturing production, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing of products
- Improve quality performance through process control, training and enforcement of work instructions
- Establish critical need materials, components and resources to achieve daily/weekly/monthly goals
- Interpret company policies to employees under direction and enforce safety regulations
- Generate and review production yield reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs, highest possible quality level and prevent operational delays
- Develop annual business plan for staffing, capital equipment, while maintaining financial objectives
- Develop and administer financial and performance measurements necessary to achieve business objectives and establish goals and objectives for work force to meet requirements
Process Improvement
- Lead cost reduction efforts of all manufacturing and technical items to ensure continued profit growth
- Lead and develop/maintain resource support to meet delivery commitments
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase manufacturing efficiency
- Analyze and resolve work problems, or assists employees in solving work flow problems
- Review activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department progress toward stated goals and objectives
Growth
- Develop and administer Capital Plans relative to expansion and improvements
- Work with Engineering on New Product Introduction. This includes transitioning product from Engineering to Manufacturing
RequiredSkills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 10 years manufacturing experience with demonstrated managerial and strategic planning skills
- Must be a hands on manager. Willing to pitch in and help wherever needed
- Must have knowledge in electronic test and mechanical assembly
- Proven leadership ability with strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to carry out programs directed toward fulfillment of business objectives
- Knowledge of financial planning/accounting and information systems. Working knowledge of Theory of Constraints and Lean Manufacturing strategies
- Medical device experience a plus
- Complete working knowledge of software tools such as Word, Excel, Power Point, etc
